Caught on tape: 8 teens charged after brutal beating intended for YouTube

(WHAS11) - 8 teenagers from Tampa, Florida are now charged after the brutal beating of a 16-year-old girl that was caught on videotape.
Police say one girl was the ringleader in the attack, while 5 other teen girls also joined in. During the beating two young males allegedly stood outside and watched.
Authorities say the plan, all along, was to videotape the brutal beating and post it on YouTube to make the participants famous.
The teen was knocked unconscious but is recovering.
