Police bust New Albany meth lab, in the process of dismantling it

New Albany, IN – New Albany police officers and members of the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team are in the process of dismantling a methamphetamine lab discovered Monday on Locust Street in New Albany.
At about 10:35 a.m. Monday, New Albany officers followed up on some previously received information that led them to the Locust Street address and the discovery of the lab.
An Investigating officer found equipment, precursors and other items needed to produce the illegal drug. The illicit lab was located within 1000 feet of New Albany High School property.
Arrested in connection with the incident was Brandon McConnell, age 19, of the Locust Street address where the lab was discovered, and Ryan Ament, age 26, of Greenville, Indiana. Both are in the Floyd County Jail preliminarily charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Dealing in Methamphetamine.
