(WHAS11) -The fathers of the four Louisville teenagers killed in a car wreck last month say they would like to meet with the teen driver that is charged with the murder of their sons.

And the twin brother of one victim says he would simply like to ask him, “What were you thinking?”

Andrew Shields says he and his twin brother Aaron went everywhere. As he learns more about the crash that killed Aaron Shields and Jemar, Demar and Marc Claybrooks, he says it makes him more and more angry.

The four boys were leaving a Youth Alive event. With the Youth Alive van full, the boys were reportedly told to catch a ride with a 16-year-old.

But the car had been stolen. The driver fled from police, crashed the vehicle, and is now charged with four counts of murder.  The fathers of the victims say they want to meet with him.

“They can’t stop the justice process, but their families say they have forgiven him. They feel that a face-to-face encounter would at least do him some good to try to savor some of his life he might have going forward,” says Christopher 2X.

Andrew Shields, however, is not quite ready for forgiveness.

Andrew says since the wreck, he hasn’t been back to school.

But he’s going to try on Monday, for the first time without his twin brother at his side.

Meanwhile, Youth Alive has kept their word and has been in constant contact with the family about their internal investigation.

A memorial event is planned on February 21.

And on Martin Luther King Junior Day, three local restaurants will donate 100% of their proceeds to the victims’ families.
