(WHAS11) -The crowds were peaceful here in Kentuckiana this Black Friday, but that wasn’t the case across the nation.

Things even got violent in some places.

Three people died in two separate incidents.

Two men were shot to death inside a California Toys R Us store. Police believe the two men were part of an ongoing dispute with the suspect.

Also, a Wal-Mart worker in New York died after being trampled by a crowd of shoppers.

The temporary worker was about to open Wal-Mart’s doors to Black Friday shoppers when police say thousands of customers treated a ‘Blitz line starts here’ sign like an aggressive football play. 

Police say the stampede of people trampled over Jdimytai Damour ‘s body and put an 8 months pregnant woman in the hospital.  She and her unborn child are okay, but police could not save Jdimytai.
