PETA urging Ben and Jerry's to use human breast milk for their ice cream
04:43 PM EDT on Wednesday, September 24, 2008
(WHAS11) - The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has sent a letter to the co-founders of Ben and Jerry's ice cream urging them to replace cow milk in their ice cream with human breast milk.
The letter was sent after reports that a Swiss restaurant will begin buying breast milk and using it in the food they serve.
PETA says the move to breast milk would lessen dairy cows suffering and be healthier.
