Louisville -- The city of Louisville recorded its 56th homicide of the year on Sunday morning.

Officers were called 142 East Kingston Avenue on Sunday morning.

Freinds say the victim was 36 year old Planes Aldolphe who moved to the area six years ago from Haiti.

He worked for two years for Green Cab of Louisville.

But after stopping by the company's office Saturday afternoon, he wasn't seen alive again.

In the cluster of Americana Apartments nearby neighbors watched from windows, from doorsteps and from the homicide scene nearby

"I don't think it's just a death," says Officer Dwight Mitchell of Louisville Metro Police. "Some evidence there's foul play at this point."

Police found Aldolphe's body outside of his building early Sunday morning. Right now they can not say what the motive or the weapon was in this case.

36-year-old Planes Aldolphe's cab was found Sunday afternoon in an apartment complex, about nine miles away from his apartment.

Many of his friends were upset and some could not watch police do their work. One did notice something missing.

"I don't see his car over here, you usually park in the back or front, but I don't see his car," said a friend who did not want to be identified.

Two Yellow Cabs and a Ready Cab were at the scene. Aldolphe's Green Cab was nowhere to be found.

Green Cab of Louisville said the car doubled as his personal vehicle.

But Police didn't know where it was until about 2:30 when on a routine patrol they found it in a housing complex parking lot off the 1000 block of Preston.

It was nine miles north of the American Apartments.

They did not find a suspect inside and do not know how long the car had been there.

Green Cab says Aldolphe's taxi license expired in June so when this happened, he likely was not working.

Detectives hope the victims car might give them a clue that will lead to a killer.
