The saga of Randolph Morris has taken another turn, but this time it's a
good one for University of Kentucky fans.
Tubby Smith said he will welcome the 6'10" center back for sophomore
season with open arms. The only thing now that can prevent Morris from
returning to UK is the NCAA, which must determine whether Morris signed
with an agent prior to the NBA draft, or merely used an agency to advise
him, which is allowed by the NCAA.
On Monday, Smith released the following statement.:
"I met with Randolph and his parents this past weekend. Randolph
indicated to me that he would like to return to UK, and I told him there
is a place for him on this basketball team. However, the eligibility
issues that stem from his NBA workouts this summer are still being
addressed. Our compliance office is assisting the NCAA as they look into
this matter. The NCAA has been very helpful and they understand we would
like a timely resolution. We'll let everyone know when we have more
information."
