A 17 year old is under arrest after a shooting in the Waverly Hills area.

The coroner says 17-year-old Saige Hartman died early Saturday morning at Jewish Southwest Hospital.  He had been shot once in the chest.

Hartman was a student at the Fairdale “virtual” High School.

Police say the shooting followed an altercation in the parking lot of the Red Oak Apartments, Dixie Highway.

Hartman’s parents say the suspect was a friend of their son’s, who knocked on their door about one a.m. Saturday.

Christopher 2x says that after the shooting, the suspect and a young woman put Hartman in a car and took him to the hospital.

The teen suspect is charged with tampering with physical evidence in connection with the murder weapon.

It’s Metro Louisville’s 22nd homicide of 2008.
