Brooke Katz comes to Louisville from her hometown of Charleston, South Carolina.
Brooke started her career in journalism at Charleston's WCBD-TV in 2008, working as a reporter and a producer.
On the streets, she covered a wide range of stories from hard hitting news to special health and fitness segments. In the newsroom, she was responsible for producing several different newscasts. Brooke was also the fill-in host for My News 2, a guest-oriented show that focused on events happening in the community.
Living most of her life in the Lowcountry, she decided to it was time to venture someplace new. She is excited to be working with WHAS11 and loves the city of Louisville.
In her spare time, Brooke is an exercise enthusiast. Before moving to Louisville, she also taught aerobics and was a personal trainer at several Charleston health clubs. She has competed in several local and national fitness competitions as well.
Brooke received her degree in Journalism and Media Studies from Rutgers University in New Jersey. While there, she also received a Certificate of Criminology.
