LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – After already being suspended in October, Louisville forward Chane Behanan is now kicked off the team completely. Head Coach Rick Pitino delivered the news to him.
“Trying to find out what he did is not the answer. It's just a really unfortunate situation for a young man,” Pitino said.
The news spread fast on campus and among fans, many left wondering what happened.
“I can respect the school policy and Pitino honoring the rules. I mean even if you’re good, everyone has to play by them,” Eli Graff said.
Other fans felt uncertain about the season.
“What is going to happen? This is not good,” Molly Oliver said.
Pitino said Behanan could transfer schools to play elsewhere or hire a trainer and get an agent to try to play in the NBA or overseas.
