(News release) -- The University of Louisville’s Erin Schneidtmiller has been selected to compete for the North Team in the USA Field Hockey Under-21 Women’s National Championship which will be held June 20-25 on the campus of Old Dominion.  U of L head coach Justine Sowry will serve as the coach of the Metro Team.
 
The tournament field features the top athletes from USA Field Hockey’s High Performance Centers.  The players in the tournament will also have the opportunity to be selected to the USA U21 national team for the Junior World Cup which will be held July 27-Aug. 4 in Mönchengladbach, Germany.
 
Schneidtmiller (Louisville, Ky.) was selected to play for the North Team based on her performance in the Midwest High Performance Center in Chicago. The rising senior forward finished the 2012 campaign with seven goals, four assists and 18 points. She was selected as a team captain for the 2013 season.
