LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Rick Pitino's promise to get a tattoo if Louisville won is inspiring some local fans to get card ink of their own.
Teddy Crawford was 13-years-old the last time the Cards brought home the title. After 27 years, he finally got another chance to make his fan-hood permanent.
"I've been saying that the next time Louisville won the championship I was going to get the tattoo," Crawford said.
Monday night after the game Rick Pitino talked about his promise to the team to get a tattoo if they won the championship.
"Last night after they played the bit about Pitino saying he was going to get a tattoo my Twitter stream just lit up like it was on fire, my Facebook page just lit up with people," Buddy Wheeler, owner Tattoo Charlie's.
The victory celebrations will eventually come to an end, but with their new ink, fans are are making their pride permanent.
