LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Quentin Snider is a Louisville Cardinal. Quentin's father confirmed his son has indeed signed a letter of intent to play for the school he grew up watching.
The decision between Illinois and Louisville weighed heavy on Quentin last night. Ultimately he followed his heart and is relieved to have the process behind him.
It is so rare these things come back full circle where a kid signs with a school he de-commits from, but in this case, that's exactly what happened. The Ballard star first committed to the Cards early on in high school, but at the end of the summer decided to de-committ. Both sides moved on and Snider eventually pledged to Illinois.
This decision wasn't about coaches and it wasn't about a fan base. It was about a family and their love for Louisville. In this situation everybody won, unless you're Illinois.
