CARY, N.C. – The University of Louisville men’s tennis team picked up four wins on day one of the Duke Fab Four Invite.
 
In doubles action, the team of Sebastian Stiefelmeyer and Albert Wagner defeated Alabama’s Danill Proskura and Carlos Taborga 8-4, but fell 8-4 to Elon’s Cameron Silverman and Stefan Fortmann in the Blue Division.
 
In Blue Division singles action, sophomore Michael Lippens beat Virginia Tech’s Hunter Koontz 7-6(2), 4-6, 7-6(3) and sophomore Sebastian Stiefelmeyer picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win over Alabama’s Jarryd Botha.  Wagner topped North Carolina’s Brett Clark 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 in the Black Division. Sophomore Chris Simich battled Virginia Tech’s Hunter Koontz, but fell 7-6(2) 4-6, 7-6(3) in the White Division.
