(WHAS11) -- Tuesday offered the first chance to see the new University of Louisville football team in action.
Half of the players hit the field at 8:50 a.m. for practice, while others came in around 4:20 p.m.
Both practices are open for fans to watch.
Coach Bobby Petrino said the team is split by age, but some will be mixed in due to class schedules.
The Cards open their season September first at home against ACC opponent Miami.
