LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A big shake up in the University of Louisville athletics department Wednesday as a long-time employee announces she is leaving.

According to ESPN, executive senior associate athletic director Julie Hermann leaving UofL and will take over Rutgers University's athletic director position. The move ends Hermann's 16 years working at UofL and athletics director Tom Jurich.

She replaces the outgoing Rutgers athletic director, Tim Pernetti, who was fired shortly after that scandal surrounding the Rutgers men's basketball coach.
A news conference is expected later Wednesday.
