LOUISVILLE, Ky -- Terrence Williams, a former University of Louisville basketball player and current NBA player, has been arrested for an alleged domestic incident.
Williams was arrested late Sunday afternoon in Kent, Wash., near Seattle. Police said the victim reported that Williams, who is the father of the woman's 10-year-old child, arrived at a home for a scheduled visitation exchange. She said an argument broke out in a parking lot during the exchange and that is when, according to police, Williams took out a firearm and made threats.
Williams then left the area prior to police arrival, but was later taken into custody.
"We investigate and treat all cases such as this very seriously regardless of the status of those involved," police Detective Melanie Frazier said.
Williams played for the University of Louisville from 2005-2009. He was the eleventh overall pick in the NBA Draft by the New Jersey Nets.
