LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- After suffering its first loss of the season, the Cards ran themselves back into the win column, defeating USF 34-3. Behind 125 yards from Dominique Brown and 344 yards and three touchdowns through the air from Teddy Bridgewater, the Cards are now 7-1 on the season.

Bridgewater was exceptionally accurate on the day, completing passes to 12 different receivers and throwing only four incomplete passes.  On the season, Bridgewater has now thrown 20 Touchdowns to only two interceptions.

After an embarrassing performance in the UCF loss, the Louisville defense was back to its impressive ways. A Charles Gaines 70-yard pick-six capped off a strong performance for the unit that held USF to just 133 total yards and only 38 yards on the ground.

Notable performances:

Teddy Bridgewater: 25/29, 344 Yards, 3 Touchdowns

Dominique Brown: 18 Carries, 125 Yards / 6 Catches, 61 Yards, Touchdown

Gerald Christian: 3 Catches, 83 yards, Touchdown (Christian had a 69-yard touchdown catch and run in the second quarter)

Marcus Smith: 2 Sacks
