LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Louisville has picked up a win over Georgetown College in an exhibition game. Samardo Samuels scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds Wednesday to lead the Cardinals to an 80-68 win. However, the NAIA school led 35-31 at halftime.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — John Wall is already showing Kentucky he can play. Wall scored 25 points and had 11 assists for the Blue Team during Wednesday's annual Blue-White scrimmage. However, there's still no telling when the freshman guard will suit up for the Wildcats because of an NCAA investigation.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — If either Kentucky or Mississippi State is going to make it to the postseason, they'll need more big plays out of their young secondaries. The two teams meet on Saturday. The Bulldogs are coming off a game in which they returned two interceptions for scores against Florida.

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Zenyatta will try to extend her record to 14 straight victories when she runs in the Breeders' Cup. The horse has been pre-entered entered in both the $5 million Classic featuring male horses and the $2 million Ladies' Classic. The Breeders' Cup is Nov. 6-7 at Santa Anita.
