Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11)- The Kentucky Wildcats and Cards face off in less than two weeks.

Wednesday, the head coach for the Wildcats took to the podium in Louisville, Cardinal territory!

On this day every year, the Jefferson County UK alumni try to turn Louisville into Big Blue Country.

More than 500 people turned out at the downtown Hyatt to hear Joker Phillips get them fired up about the upcoming season.

There is no secret heading into the battle for the Governor’s Cup that the Cats are the underdogs.

Louisville is favored by 14 points as of right now.

Joker says he is aware of that fact, but does not worry about it.

Joker also said historically the team who runs the ball, stops the run and does not turn it over wins the Governors Cup.
