FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Kentucky's game at Arkansas has resumed after an hour and six-minute delay because of lightning.
The Razorbacks (2-4, 1-2 Southeastern Conference) led 14-0 at the time of the delay, which happened with 3:32 remaining in the first quarter after lightning struck within six miles of Razorback Stadium.
The lightning was preceded by strong winds and rain. Fans scattered from the stands once the delay was announced. More severe weather was forecast for later.
Arkansas took the early lead on a Tyler Wilson touchdown pass to Jonathan Williams, and Dennis Johnson later added a 3-yard touchdown run. Wilson was 7 of 8 passing for 137 yards at the time of the delay.
The Razorbacks, who broke a four-game losing streak with a win at Auburn last week, have outgained the Wildcats (1-5, 0-3) 171-41 in total yardage. Kentucky quarterback Jalen Whitlow was 1 of 6 passing for 22 yards.
