LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky's men's basketball team, the 2012 NCAA champion, has a new floor for its renovated locker rooms -- the center circle from the Superdome floor where the Wildcats won it all last spring.

Various parts of the floor will be used for decorations, but the Lexington Herald-Leader (http://bit.ly/PcyJ7O) reports about half of it will be divided into pieces, signed by Coach John Calipari and auctioned to raise money for pediatric cancer research.

Northwestern Mutual purchased the floor and donated it to UK. It arrived on Wednesday.

Dan Rivers of Northwestern Mutual says the auction could raise as much as $1 million.
