LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky Head Coach Joker Phillips is excited to see some of the team's stars make it cool to be on special teams.

Running backs Raymond Sanders, CoShik Williams and Jonathan George went to special teams coach Greg Nord this summer and offered to enlist.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports (http://bit.ly/T6p9mj) the trio has encouraged players on every unit to invest in special teams.

Sanders said the three were trying to push each other and to make sure everyone is excited about being on special teams. He called the teams a vital part of the game.

Phillips said it is rare to see starting backs with that type of attitude. He said it will rub off on the younger players.
