LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Coming off of his ACC record-breaking performance at Syracuse Friday, University of Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson has been named the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week.
Jackson had a record of 610 yards rushing for 199 yards and had a school record for the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with four.
He also completed 20 of 39 passes for a career-best 411 yards and one touchdown which includes his 72-yard touchdown pass to James Quick on the first play of the game.
U of L says Jackson became the first player in FBS history to pass for 400 yards and rush for 175 in a game.
Jackson is the second player to repeat as player of the week since the award’s inception in 2004.
U of L defeated Syracuse 62-28.
