LEXINGTON, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Kentucky Wildcats notched their first win of the season Saturday with starting quarterback Drew Barker on the bench for the majority of the game.
After the first series where Barker threw an interception, he didn’t return due to an injury.
Officials with UK say Barker injured his back and underwent an MRI.
Coach Mark Stoops didn’t reveal much during a press conference but said he would consult with doctors and evaluate what’s best for Barker as the week goes along.
Barker is still listed as the starting quarterback on the week four depth chart.
UK will face South Carolina Sep. 24 at Commonwealth Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
