(WHAS11)  For the second year in a row the Kentucky Wildcats will be playing in the SEC championship game.  The cats and the Alabama Crimson Tide played Saturday afternoon in front of a very large pro-Kentucky crowd.

Sports director matt Hobbs has been at the Georgia Dome this week and tells us about the big win.

There are four teams playing games Saturday, but by the look of the crowd you would think we were in downtown Lexington.  Kentucky and Alabama played in the first semi-final game Saturday, with the Cats coming out on top 72-58.

We caught up with fans to ask them about the game and who they are hoping to play tomorrow.
Carolyn Dickerson, Kentucky fan said, “I’ll play anybody because they can’t whoop the true blue and white Kentucky.”

Carolyn’s sentiments were shared by hundreds of Wildcat fans who poured into Atlanta to watch their team fight for another SEC championship.  It seems no matter where you were at the Dome you saw nothing but a sea of Kentucky blue.  Fans say they will do anything to watch their Cats.

Dave Sheehan, Kentucky fan said, “The love for the Cats baby.  It’s all about coming down here to go all in with my brethren in Big Blue Nation”

Michelle Dickerson, Kentucky fan said, “They are so awesome.  The game plan?  My game plan is the same as Calipari’s game plan; so I’m so excited.”

So after their game, many stuck around to see who would win the game between Vandy and Florida and everyone had a reason for making their choice.

Matt Hopper, Kentucky fan; “I really want Florida more than Vandy.  It would mean more to beat them to me.”

It looks like fans will get their wish; Florida has won and will be moving on to the championship game tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. WHAS11.
