(WHAS11 / HS GameTime) - One of the most remarkable streaks in field hockey history is over. The Sacred Heart Valkyries had won 87 straight matches but it all ended Tuesday night.
The Collegiate Amazons were able to beat the Valkyries 3-2 in overtime. Julie Hertzman scored the winning goal. It’s Sacred Heart’s first loss since losing to Assumption in the 2005 semifinals.
