LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- There's a lot of pride in Pleasure Ridge Park on Sunday after the high school baseball team brought home their fifth state title Saturday night.

PRP defeated Mercer County 3-2 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in Lexington. The team was excited as the players piled onto each other and their fans were even more excited on Sunday as the team returned.

Dozens lined up outside the school to welcome their team home.

Head Coach Bill Miller became the all time winningest coach in Kentucky high school baseball history earlier this season. He was able to cap off the year with a state championship.

The PRP Panthers ended the season with a 38-7 record.
