In the HSGameTime Game of the Week the Providence Pioneers were able to hold on in a hard-fought defensive struggle against the Charlestown Pirates.

Spencer Corrao was able to get the scoring started for Providence and give his team a 7-0 lead when he broke a long touchdown run.

Charlestown was able to tie the score near the end of the 1st quarter, but left just enough time for one play for the Pioneers.

QB Anthony Denis hit Dillon Smallwood on a 55 yard bomb for the score and gave Providence a 14-7 lead.

That would be the final score as Providence hands Charlestown their first loss on the season.

Next week: Providence (3-2) vs. Jeffersonville (3-2)

Charlestown (4-1) at Corydon (4-1)
