Steelers' Antonio Brown forced to remove cleats tributing Ali

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers was forced to remove some specially designed cleats that paid tribute the late Muhammad Ali.

The yellow and black cleats featured Ali’s signature phrase “Float like a Butterfly” with a small butterfly above it and The Champ’s face on the shoe.

Brown was told to remove the cleats before the game or face being disqualified.

The NFL is known for their strict uniform policies and often fines players for breaking them.

Most recently, the NFL fine players for wearing cleats that remembered the 9/11 tragedy.
