(WHAS11) - Martha says she has always loved Kentucky, but this year was her first Kentucky Derby.
Martha Stewart came to Louisville for Kentucky Derby 137. She was here with former Louisville Mayor Harvey Sloane and his wife, Kathy. Stewart says the Sloanes are good friends.
Kathy Sloane told WHAS11 that they came to the Derby to celebrate Harvey Sloane's 75th birthday.
While in Kentucky, Stewart attended the Oaks and Derby, and headed to Foxhollow in Oldham Co. to check out the organic farm.
Kathy Sloane is a successful New York City real estate agent. Former Mayor Harvey Sloane runs a medical education program in Washington.
