Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - It is a derby story with a lot of heart: Trainer Kathy Ritvo is at Churchill Downs with her contender Mucho Macho Man.
For a trainer, getting to the Derby is always a long shot but Ritvo herself is something of a long shot, a real miracle.
A heart transplant saved her life, and now she will be a spokesperson for organ donation.
