LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kentucky Derby Festival Press Office has announced that the Kentucky Derby Festival's 2010 opening ceremony, Thunder Over Louisville, will be broadcast on the American Forces Network to more than a million U.S. military personnel and Department of Defense civilian employees, and their families, who are currently stationed abroad. The 90-minute program, which features the entire Thunder fireworks display and highlights of the Thunder Air Show, will be shown on July 5 and 11 to personnel in approximately 175 countries and American territories, and aboard more than 140 U.S. Navy ships, too.

A 30-minute version of Thunder Over Louisville will be shown on KET on Sunday, July 4 at 4:31pm, and again at 9pm that night.
