LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – The most exclusive mint julep cup of the season is now on-sale.
Crafted exclusively for Woodford Reserve by Tiffany & Company, the hand-made silver cup costs $1,000.
The 73 julep cups are available online on a first-come, first-buy basis between April 12th to April 28th. Each individually numbered cup is presented with a sterling silver sipping straw and features the Woodford Reserve logo, along with a unique horse racing design.
This will be the 73rd year that the Mint Julep has been recognized as the traditional beverage of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs.
The cups that aren’t sold online will be available at Churchill Downs on Derby Day.
All the proceeds this year go to help the Barnstable Brown Diabetes and Obesity Center at UK.
