LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A new record was set on Saturday during the Kentucky Derby Festival's miniMarathon.
Kenya native Linus Chumba finished the miniMarathon with a time of 1 hour, 2 minutes and 40 seconds beating the previous record of 44 seconds set in 1982.
The women’s winner for the miniMarathon is from New York City and she finished with a time of 1 hour, 13 minutes and 46 seconds.
As for the Marathon, the women's winner is a Louisville, Kentucky native.
Amy Doolittle-Crider finished in just under 3 hours, which she said was all she really wanted anyway.
The overall marathon winner is from Hebron, Ky. He finished with a time of 2 hours, 23 minutes and 4 seconds.
