LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The Parade Preview Party is your chance to get a sneak peek at some of the floats that will be headed down Broadway during the Pegasus Parade on Thursday.
The 2012 Republic Bank Pegasus Parade Preview party is May 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Kentucky Exposition Center, South Wing C. Admission is free with a 2012 Pegasus Pin. Parking is $8.

The Pegasus Parade is May 3 at 5 p.m. The parade route runs West on Broadway from Campbell to 9th.

The parade, first held in 1956, is the Derby Festival's oldest and founding event. It began on a budget of $640 and now provides an impact in excess of $22 million to the local economy.
In 2012, the 57th parade marches down Broadway on Thursday, May 3rd and promises to be a spectacle of colorful floats, marching bands, giant inflatables, equestrians and celebrities parading down Broadway in downtown Louisville.
