Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Now with the Kentucky Derby just two days the big question out at Churchill Downs is: Who is your derby pick?
And the funny thing is, so many of the people who have been out at Churchill Downs for the last two weeks, had a great answer to that question until Wednesday night's pill pull.
That has a tendency of changing everything.
One thing that has stayed consistent; Dialed In has been the favorite all week.
Since Nick Zito and his Derby favorite Dialed In arrived at Churchill Downs on Saturday, Zito has admittedly been a bit on edge.
But Wednesday night after a solid few days on the track, another load was lifted from Zito's shoulders when Dialed In drew the 8 spot in the pill pull.
That’s prime positioning to give him a shot at his third Derby title, and that makes Zito a happy man.
Dialed In's owner, Bob Lapenta is also the picture of controlled optimism.
And after getting so close to the winner's circle last year with Ice Box, both Lapenta and Zito have a sense of unfinished business.
