LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS 11)-- One of the most ambitious projects launched by Churchill Downs in recent history is nearly sold out.
The new super-luxury area under construction called “The Mansion” is 93 percent sold or booked by people with three to seven year contracts a track spokesperson said.
According to Business First, the first areas with 32 tables are priced at $9,000 to $12,000 annually and are tied to multi-year commitments.
Meanwhile, the overall revenue for the company fell. The racing operations were down six percent.
As a result there will be three fewer racing days at Churchill Downs.
