LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A big part of the luck of the draw is staying out of trouble - actually, that's a pretty good lesson for all of us, but one Derby horse that knows about a troubled trip is Revolutionary.

His journeys in the Withers Stakes and the Louisiana Derby were like a Bruce Willis movie.  This horse is a “die hard” brave.

The crowds continue to grow each day on the Backside and they now form a corridor for Derby horses as they head to the track. And if any horse knows about running in a crowd, it's Revolutionary.

The Winstar 3-year-old ran behind and between horses to emerge as a winner, especially his troubled trip in the Withers Stakes. Revolutionary passed every test in stakes racing 101, and Walden said he hopes the hard knocking races will help his horse on Derby day. It also might help to have jockey Calvin Borel, who has three Derby wins three times.

Bunch up. Run in a crowd, burst through a seam? It's a “Revolutionary” idea that might work on Derby day. For this horse, it's no problem.

Even the walk over to the paddock can upset a horse on Derby day, but be it rowdy people or aggressive horses; nothing seems to bother this thoroughbred.

Javier Castellano was the jockey when Revolutionary won the Louisiana Derby but he opted to ride Normandy Invasion.
