It was a big hit at the end of the Spring Meet and now Churchill Downs is bringing back night racing.

Track officials will officially announce their plans for night racing Tuesday morning.

A company has been contracted to install permanent lights at the racetrack.

More than 33,000 people packed the last "Downs After Dark" event in July.

It was the largest crowd ever outside of Derby, Oaks and Breeders Cup events.
