NEW YORK (AP) — Unrivaled Belle cruised to a 6¾-length win over Banker's Buy on Friday in the $66,150 Real Prize Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Belmont Park.
With Eddie Castro aboard, Unrivaled Belle sprinted to the early lead and gradually widened her advantage. Since losing by a neck in her debut at Keeneland in April, Unrivaled Belle has won all three races for Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott.
Her job got easier when Bon Jovi Girl, the 3-5 favorite, never mounted a serious challenge, fading to last in the five-horse field. The time was 1:42.38 for the 1 1-16 miles on a fast track.
Unrivaled Belle paid $7, $4.50 and $9 as the 5-2 second choice. Banker's Buy, the longest shot in the race at 29-1, returned $15.60 and $24. Don't Forget Gil paid $11 to show.
