LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- University of Louisville sophomore Tanja Kylliainen finished eighth in the 200-fly at the final day of the NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the Indiana Natatorium on the campus of the IUPUI in Indianapolis.
The Cardinals finished 22nd overall as a team, the best team performance in the program’s history.
Qualifying at 1:54.33, Kylliainen touched in 1:57.22 in the final event for the Cardinals at the Championships and earned All-American status.
The Cardinal 400-relay team of Kelsi Worrell (48.09), Krissie Brandenburg
(50.07), Grite Apanaviciute (49.97) and McDowell (49.01) combine to post a 3:17.95 to finish 18th.
