LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Louisville Cardinals will be one player short as they head to Houston Wednesday night.
Junior guard Wayne Blackshear took an elbow to the head from fellow player Akoy Agau resulting in a concussion.
According to Coach Rick Pitino, the concussion doesn’t appear to be serious but enough to keep him out of the game.
Coach Pitino says it’s vital for Montrezl Harrell and Luke Hancock to stay out of foul trouble.
“It’s just defensively you’ve got to be careful. We’ll try to make sure that neither one gets three fouls in the first half,” he said. “This is a dangerous game for us; we are limping in there right now.”
There is no word if Blackshear will return against Temple on Feb 13.
