LEXINGTON, Ky. (WHAS11)—Freshman forward Marcus Lee is going to stay with the Wildcats for a second season.

In a press release from the University of Kentucky, they announced that Lee would stay in Lexington in an attempt to win a national title with UK.

"Playing in the Final Four was such an amazing feeling, but I want to come back and help win that final game this year,” Lee said.

Lee is a 6’9” forward who came up big during the Cats run through the NCAA tournament, nearly getting a double-double against Michigan in the Elite 8.

Lee was named to the Midwest Regional All-Tournament team.

UK Head Coach John Calipari was happy to have Lee back to the team.

“I'm excited for Marcus and think he’s barely scratched the surface of what he’s capable of,” head coach John Calipari said.  “In addition to his athleticism and the energy level he brings, the experience he gained in the NCAA Tournament this year will be immeasurable for us next season.”

The NBA Early Entry deadline is 11:59 p.m. Sunday, April 27. The Big Blue Nation is awaiting the announcements for Julius Randle, Andrew and Aaron Harrison, Dakari Johnson and Alex Poythress.

Calipari has the No. 2 ranked recruiting class, per ESPN, coming in next year. All four McDonalds All-Americans will be participating in the Jordan Brand Classic on Friday evening in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

In addition to Lee, Calipari will have Willie Cauley-Stein returning to the line-up for the 2014-2015 season.
