(WHAS11) -- Joker Phillips is on his way out as the University of Kentucky head football coach and a former University of Louisville coach may be taking Phillips spot.
Bobby Petrino, who was ousted from Arkansas after a scandal last spring, has reportedly expressed interest in the head football coach job at Kentucky.
Petrino's dad, Bobby Sr., spoke to Adam Himmelsbach of the Courier Journal about his son’s interest.
Bobby Sr. said his son wants to stay in the SEC because his life's goal is to coach in the SEC.
The only thing that remains to be seen is UK’s interest in Petrino.
