A broker told ESPN Tuesday that he paid Aggie quarterback Johnny Manziel $7,500 to sign autographs in January.
The broker showed ESPN video that allegedly showed Manziel signing helmets and footballs in a Connecticut hotel room.
Manziel is heard on the video telling the broker he won’t do business with him again if he tells anyone, according to ESPN.com.
The NCAA is investigating the allegations against Manziel, who hasn’t commented since ESPN first broke the story on Sunday.
If Manziel was paid for his autograph on memorabilia, it could potentially violate NCAA amateurism rules and put his eligibility in question a year after his jaw-dropping performance on the field made him the first freshman to win the Heisman as college football’s top player.
