LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)- With just 52 days to September 17 the annual Battle of the Bluegrass football game between Louisville and Kentucky heats up the state's biggest rivalry.

Wednesday night the momentum truly got going with the Governor’s Cup dinner and auction tonight at the Henry Clay in downtown Louisville.

Former UK and U of L greats like Tim Couch, Howard Stevens, Dan Neal and Wally Oyler, were honored during a special ceremony and the proceeds from the auction went towards VIPS and God's Pantry food bank.
