(NEWS RELEASE) -- The Louisville women’s golf team is currently in third place after two rounds in the Colonel Wollenberg’s Ptarmigan Ram Classic held at the Ptarmigan Country Club in Fort Collins, Colo. The Cardinals shot a 297 in the first round and a 292 in the second round to finish the day at 13 over with a score of 589. Texas Tech leads the field with a score of 575 and New Mexico is second with a score of 586.
Sophomore Emily Haas is currently tied for fourth with a score of 144. Haas shot a 74 in the first round and a 70 in the second round to finish the day at even par. New Mexico’s Manon DeRoey leads the field with a score of 137. She shot a 69 in the first round and a 68 in the second round to finish seven under par.
Sophomore Katie Petrino is currently tied at 10th place after two rounds. Petrino shot a 71 in the first round and then followed up with a 75 in the second round for a score of 146. Sophomore Sara Karlsson and senior Candice Wiley are both currently tied for 23rd. Karlsson shot a 77 in the first round and a 73 in ting he second round for a score of 150. Wiley finished the day carding a 75 in both rounds for a score of 150.
Junior Tara Lyons finished the day tied at 36th with a score of 152. Lyons shot a 78 in the first round and a 74 in the second round.
The Cardinals will wrap up play with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday morning.
