(WHAS11) -- It was a big day for college football Wednesday, National Signing Day! WHAS11 went all across Kentuckiana to find out who is going where!

Louisville Football:

Kentucky seems to have made the most noise nationally but locally, Louisville landed the best recruit in the commonwealth.

-James Quick, the Trinity standout is ranked as the ninth best wide receiver in the nation. He is the only wide receiver in the Cards recruiting class.

-The Cards landed another signee from the state of Kentucky in Lexington Catholic quarterback Kyle Bolin.

After three years of stocking up the roster, Louisville had their smallest class under Charlie Strong of just 17 players.

-The Cards recruited a number of tall defensive backs including stand out Richard Benjamin.

Kentucky Football:

Before Mark Stoops, Kentucky was looking at a class ranked 60th in the country. After Stoops UK's class is ranked 28th in the country.

-Trinity standout, four-star defensive end Jason Hatcher made it official and signed with Kentucky picking the Cats over USC.

-Other recruits: Safety Marcus McWilson out of Youngstown Ohio, the same town Stoops is from. Possibly the best recruit is defensive end Za'Darius Smith.

Western Kentucky:

Rivals has the Western Kentucky class ranked 81st in the country while Scout.com has them listed at 89th in the country.

-Manual's Juan Gardner signed with Western Kentucky. Ballard wide receiver Cam Lewis is also joining the Hilltoppers

Indiana:
Kevin Wilson and his staff in Bloomington have recruited well. The Hoosiers are ranked 41st in the country and Scout.com has them ranked 51st.
