With just one week to go until the Battle of the Bluegrass, Louisville has released their official depth chart for the game...still no set starter at running back.
But there are some notable names at the wide receiver position. Trinity grad Scott Radcliff is listed as the starter in the slot position over Eli Rogers. And opposite DeVante Parker will be Charles Gaines, a redshirt freshman who will get the nod ahead of Damian Copeland. Gaines has opened eyes this spring.
Defensively, it had seemed that Andrew Johnson was a lock to start at cornerback with Adrian Bushell, instead it appears Terrell Floyd will get the start. With tons of depth at the position both players will likely see plenty of playing time.
Some other defensive notes - former quarterback Marcus Smith is starting over Deiontrez Mount...George Durant will get the go for strong side linebacker.
One of the biggest questions this offseason, who would return punts? No more heart attacks with Eli Rogers, Kai Dominguez has been given the starting role. Charles Gaines and Ballard star DeVante Parker are backing Dominguez up at the position.
Some special teams notes...freshman Josh Appleby from Alabama is the starting punter...the kicking battle has yet to be decided between Wallace and Nakatani...and Adrian Bushell will be returning kickoffs.
